HOW WE STARTED

The McGowan family started Dixie Weld Fab, Inc. in 1973 in Dixie, Louisiana. In 1975, we moved to Belcher, Louisiana, where we currently occupy more than eight acres. Our facility includes 52,000 square feet of fabrication shop and a sandblast/paint area.

We are an ASME code shop, with “U,” “S,” and “R” stamps. We primarily serve the fabrication and repair needs of the southern region of the U.S., but have shipped vessels to various parts of the world. In addition to code fabrication, we also construct API tanks, piping, ductwork and other heavy fabrication.
